KONSTA KATERINA

CEO WORLD MARITIME ACADEMY & STAMKON

Dr. Katerina Konsta is the CEO of the World Maritime Academy and STAMKON.

Katerina has more than 20 years of international experience in training, in shipping and logistics, both students and business executives. He has created shipping departments and schools for colleges and universities and partnerships between organizations. Her writing experience includes distance learning books, journal papers and conference papers. She has served as a reviewer for the Maritime Policy & Management Journal and is currently a reviewer for the Journal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering and an Examiner for the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers in London.

Education and training without experience mean nothing to her, which explains why she has always undertaken consultancy work. Currently, the consultancy offered focuses on shipping and logistics, training, human resources, sustainability, distribution, warehousing, procurement for 3PL companies.

Katerina obtained her PhD from the University of Plymouth, entitled "Maritime Policy and the Success of Nations: the case of Greek Shipping". He holds a degree in Maritime Business and Maritime Law from the University of Plymouth, UK. He studied Business & Finance at North Hertfordshire College, UK. Her postgraduate studies include International Shipping at the University of Plymouth (UK) and Maritime Studies with International Transport at the University of Piraeus (Greece). He has also obtained certifications for teaching at university level.

Katerina is a member of the Women's International Shipping & Trading Association (WISTA) and a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee of WISTA International, a member of the International Maritime Lecturers' Association (IMLA), the Hellenic Women Scientists' Association, LeanIn and the Chios Shipping Club. She is an Ambassador of the University of Plymouth and Head of the PYNDA maritime alumni organization.
