Manos Roudas was born in Piraeus and holds a degree in engineering from the Technical
University of Wales and a graduate of the University of Glamorgan. He holds an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University, USA. He has been actively involved in offshore sailing since 1996. He is a professional skipper on yachts of all kinds. He also works as a business consultant, mainly shipping and yachting. He has been involved in maritime training since 2000, holds a sailing coach diploma and the international RYA Yachtmaster Instructor diploma. He has been writing professionally since 1998. In recent years he specializes in VIP Yachting.
