Michalis Skoulikidis is widely known as one of the pioneers of Greek yachting and has been active in the industry for the last 48 years.

As a founding member of the GYA he chairs the organising committee of the very successful Mediterranean Yacht Show (MEDYS). MEDYS is held annually in Nafplio and has established itself as the largest manned professional yacht show in the world in terms of the number of boats and with a large number of agents from all over the world. It is a true testament to the excellent potential that Greece offers as a destination and as a place for the development of new businesses.

He is known for his passion for yachting, and his perseverance for the future as he has a lot of personal time for the development of the industry.

A member of the National Tourism Council for almost a decade (1996-2005), he has earned the trust of the authorities and regulatory bodies and his advice is sought when issues concerning Greek yachting arise. This is due to his long career which includes senior positions in some of the leading yachting companies in the Eastern Mediterranean.

He was Founder of ALIOS for 5 years, General Manager of Vernicos Yachts for 24 years, General Manager of PrivatSea (SETE) and after this term of office, he is still Managing Partner of Atalanta Marine. From 1994 to 2007 he was also President of the Hellenic Yacht Brokers & Yachting Experts Association (HYBA), which organized the International Yachting Symposium in Flisvos and Poros.

Characterized by a strong business ethic and an unwavering will for growth, he continues to work hard to shape a bright future for Greek industry of yachting.
