SAILING INSTRUCTOR, NAUTICAL CLUB OF GREECE

Akis Tsarouhis has been coaching in sailing since 1997. He holds an A' degree. In his career, he has dealt with both the preparation of athletes and teams at a high Olympic or Paralympic level, but also with the initial stage of learning the sport for beginners. He had a long collaboration with the Hellenic Sailing Federation, both as a national coach and also as a committee member and technical advisor. He has been a partner of Physical Education and Sport Science in the internship of sailing students. He is one of the pioneers of the development of sailing for the disabled in Greece, while the athletes he coached became the first Paralympians in the sport in the country. He is the architect of several international successes and has been a member of global committees for the development of disabled sailing and thus has contributed both locally and globally to the cultivation of disabled sailing. He was the director of education of the Piraeus Saling Club and responsible for the coordination of nautical activities of the Yacht Club of Greece. His name has been associated with the most innovative coaching and racing projects in the country.
