Ioannis Patiniotis is a seasoned Economist, holding an MBA from Kingston University, a PhD in Business Administration from European University, and advanced professional training at MIT in Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain technologies (NFTs, Smart Contracts, and Cryptocurrencies). He has held senior leadership positions in the maritime sector and served as Chief Financial Officer of the shipping company Carras (Hellas) S.A. from 2004 to 2025.
