MARINE TOURISM DEVELOMPENT CONSULTANT / FOUNDER & CEO OF BOATS ADVISOR HUB & EVENTS
He was born and raised on the island of Rhodes.
After studying architecture at the universities of Dresden and Wuppertal, Germany, he successfully worked for 12 years in Germany as a project manager at ThyssenKrupp and as a real estate consultant at the Sparkasse banking group in Düsseldorf.
In 2016 he founded BoatsAdvisor Hub&Events (www.boatsadvisor.com), the world's first yacht review platform turning his career around, turning his hobby into a profession. The company stood out in innovation competitions such as Bluegrowth & MIT enterprise forum Greece.
Since 2017, he has been active in Rhodes, where his company is headquartered, after 17 years of being abroad.
His company is engaged in:
- Yacht rating platform
- Maritime tourism development consultancy with specialization in yachting
- Boat sales and charters
- Organization of trade shows and conferences focusing on maritime tourism.
Mr. Konstantaros additionally:
- is the CEO of the Rhodes Tourism Promotion Organization (PROTOUR)
- serves as a special advisor on maritime tourism development for the Municipal Port Fund of Southern Dodecanese.
- is a consultant of several regions and municipalities in Greece in maritime tourism development issues, -cooperates as a trainer for maritime tourism with the KEK Gennimata of PNAI,
- is an exclusive partner of the Dodecanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in maritime tourism development issues from 2020,
- is the head of the Maritime department in the Dodecanese Department of ND from 2022,
- active member of EKO Shipping of the ND,
- actively participated in working groups of the Ministry of Shipping and Insular Policy and the Ministry of Tourism of Greece,
- is a founding honorary member of the Association of Greek and Cypriot Doctors of North Rhine Westphalia- Germany
- Is the initiator and creator of the Aegean Yachting Festival (www.aegeanyachtingfestival.com) or International Sea Tourism Festival (www.seatourismfestival.com) as it is now called and took place in Rhodes the past years,
- as well as the co-founder & co-organizator of the Panhellenic Yachting Congress (www.gryachtingcongress.com) which takes place in Athens.
- He has received special honors such as the Gold Award at the Tourism Awards for his work in 2023, silver in 2022 and bronze in 2021 as well as several international awards such as the Travel&Hospitality Award in the marine tourism category and the iLuxury Award among others.
