ΠΛΟΙΑΡΧΟΣ Α’ ΤΑΞΗΣ
Captain Nikolaos was born October 22, 1975 in Athens, Greece.
His love of everything related to the sea led him to the decision to follow his father’s footsteps and joined merchant shipping. He graduated from “Merchant Marine Academy of Athens“ and spent the following 6 years aboard ocean-going container ships first as a 2nd officer and then as a chief officer.
His thirst for gaining experience in other types of ships took him aboard high-speed ferries where he spent 2 years in Greek waters. Throughout half his career Nikolaos spent many months of his shore leave working as windsurfing and cat-sailing instructor. In 2007 Nikolaos decided to make a major career change and joined the yachting industry. His obsession with sailing made it impossible for him to refuse an offer to command charter S/Y “Callisto“, a 80ft classic Nautor’s Swan.
After that there was no looking back. As of 2011 Nikolaos holds a Master Mariner Class A Unlimited license and since then has had the privilege to command various yachts ranging from 30 to 105 meter LOA.
