Manos N. Roudas was born in Piraeus and is an awarded engineer from the Polytechnic of Wales and a graduate of Cardiff University. He holds an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University in the USA. He has been actively involved with the sea since 1996 and is a professional skipper of sailing and motor yachts. His experience also includes business consulting, primarily in the fields of shipping and yachting. He has been involved in maritime education since 2000, holds a sailing instructor's license and the RYA's international Yachtmaster Instructor certification, and has collaborated with the relevant ministries and institutional bodies for the publication of the Curriculum and the Manual for the faculty of "Recreational Vessel Skipper" for Vocational Training Institutes (SAEK/IEK), as well as for the production of material for Greek maritime tourism. He has been a professional columnist for Greek and foreign media since 1998. In recent years, he has focused on VIP yachting. He is the founder of "1852 Private Boat Tours," (https://1852.gr) which specializes in high-end private day cruises with luxury speedboats and premium services in the Athenian Riviera, the Saronic Gulf, and the Argolic Gulf.
